Nifty Weekly View

Nifty has formed a bearish engulfing candlestick pattern on the weekly chart and is facing resistance near its 200-day EMA resistance of 10,700. For the higher top-higher bottom trend setup to continue, Nifty has to give a close above the 10,700-10,750 levels, post which, it could see an extension till 10,900. On the downside, support for the index is seen at 10430-levels.

Bank Nifty Weekly View

Bank Nifty, meanwhile, traded in a tight range and ended the week nearly flat after having witnessed a strong breakout above its 200-day EMA in the previous week. There was a decline in momentum, which was indicated by the daily MACD-histogram. Immediate resistance is seen at levels of 26,400, a close above which could see the index move towards 26,800-27,000-levels, while support on the downside is seen in the range of 25,850-25,800-levels which coincides with its 200 day EMA.

Market Update Equity benchmarks have continued to trade lower, with the Sensex falling over 250 points, while the Nifty traded below 10,200-mark. 

The Sensex is down 268.66 points or 0.79% at 33865.72, while the Nifty is down 85.30 points or 0.83% at 10160.00. The market breadth is negative as 397 shares advanced, against a decline of 1,095 shares, while 2,080 shares were unchanged.

Shares of IndusInd Bank and Tata Motors are the top gainers, while Asian Paints, ONGC and HPCL have lost the most.  

Stock Market Updates-Indices trade off highs, Sensex up around 100 points; Nifty trades almost flat

Market Update The market has given up half of its gains and is trading off the high points. The Sensex is higher by around 150 points, while the Nifty is around 10,350.

                          

Selling is visible in the information technology segment, with the Nifty IT index falling around a percent. Banks, automobiles, consumption and pharma have lost some of their sheen at this point. The midcap index, meanwhile, has given up almost all of its gains. 

The Sensex is up 179.94 points or 0.52% at 34495.57, while the Nifty is higher by 50.20 points or 0.49% at 10353.70. The market breadth is positive as 855 shares advanced, against a decline of 423 shares, while 2281 shares were unchanged.

HDFC Bank, Adani Ports, Indiabulls Housing and Bajaj Finance are the top gainers, while Yes Bank, TCS, and Tech Mahindra have lost the most.

ब्रेंट क्रूड का भाव 86 डॉलर प्रति बैरल के पार पहुंच गया है। सप्लाई की चिंताओं से कच्चा तेल उछला है। तेल मार्केटिंग कंपनियों पर दबाव की आशंका है। साथ ही टायर और पेंट कंपनियों पर भी दबाव संभव है। एविएशन सेक्टर पर भी दबाव बढ़ेगा।

वहीं कमजोर रुपये और महंगे क्रूड के चलते ईसीबी नियमों में ढील दी गई है। आरबीआई ने 1,000 करोड़ डॉलर जुटाने को मंजूरी दी है। तेल कंपनियों 3-5 साल के लिए पैसा जुटा पाएंगी और रकम का इस्तेमाल वर्किंग कैपिटल की जरूरत के लिए किया जा सकेगा।

आईएलएंडएफएस

आज आईएलएंडएफएस बोर्ड की बैठक होने वाली है। आरबीआई और सेबी से नए बोर्ड को मंजूरी का इंतजार है। वहीं एनएचएआई और सिडबी को आईएलएंडएफएस की मदद के लिए कहा जा सकता है। कर्ज रीस्ट्रक्चरिंग के लिए आईएलएंडएफएस को मदद संभव है। एसएफआईओ की जांच रिपोर्ट 1 महीने में आने की संभावना है।

श्रीराम ट्रांसपोर्ट

श्रीराम ट्रांसपोर्ट ने एसवीएल के एनसीडी के लिए दी गई गारंटी वापस ले ली है। एसवीएल के 650 करोड़ रुपये के एनसीडी के लिए गारंटी दी थी। श्रीराम ट्रांसपोर्ट ने 30 जून 2015 में कॉरपोरेट गारंटी दी थी।

सीमेंस

टाटा और सीमेंस कंसोर्शियम ने पुणे मेट्रो की बोली जीती है।

एलएंडटी

एलएडटी हाइड्रोकार्बन कंसोर्शियम को ओएनजीसी से 11,740 करोड़ रुपये का कॉन्ट्रैक्ट मिला है।

एनएलसी इंडिया

एनएलसी इंडिया का बोर्ड शेयर बायबैक पर 9 अक्टूबर को विचार करेगा।

जीएमआर इंफ्रा

मूडीज ने जीएमआर हैदराबाद इंटरनेशनल एयरपोर्ट की रेटिंग घटा दी है। हैदराबाद इंटरनेशनल एयरपोर्ट की रेटिंग घटाकर निगेटिव की गई है।

Stock Market Updates-Sensex, Nifty give up gains after higher opening; FMCG names take a hit

After seeing a positive start, selling has gripped the market, pushing it to erase all of its gains and trade flat. A drag in FMCG and metal names is pulling the market lower, with the Nifty FMCG index falling over a percent. 

Banks continue to trade in the green, while autos too have maintained their lead. The Nifty Midcap index is hovering around its opening levels, up around quarter of a percent.  

Index heavyweight names such as ITC, HUL and HDFC twins too are weighing on the market.  

The Sensex is up 3.22 points or 0.01% at 37925.39, while the Nifty is down 0.20 points or 0.00% at 11437.90. The market breadth is narrow as 896 shares advanced, against a decline of 588 shares, while 72 shares were unchanged.

It’s a green start on this Tuesday morning, with the Sensex rising over 100 points, while the Nifty is trading quarter of a percent higher. 

Among sectors, banking names are trading in the green, while pharmaceuticals, metals as well as auto names are higher as well. In the broader markets, the Nifty Midcap index is higher by 0.25 percent.

Stock Market Trading Tips-Sensex marginally off its high point, Nifty manages to hold 11,700; metals extend gains

Shares are marginally off their high points, but the Nifty is managing to hold 11,700. The Sensex is trading above 38,700-mark as well. 

The Bank Nifty is trading flat with a negative bias, while all other sectoral indices are trading in the green. IT, metals and pharma have extended their gains, while, autos are trading higher too. Energy stocks are seeing some weakness, with the Nifty energy index falling 0.2 percent. In the broader market, the Nifty Midcap is up around a percent.  

The Sensex is up 79.67 points or 0.21% at 38724.74, and the Nifty up 23.20 points or 0.20% at 11703.70. The market breadth is positive as 1,461 shares advanced, against a decline of 860 shares, while 108 shares are unchanged.

Stock Market Trading Tips-Sensex, Nifty give up gains after record high opening; Jet Airways falls 2%

After opening at fresh record highs, equities have given up all of their gains as banks lost steam on Tuesday morning. The Bank Nifty is down almost one fifth of a percent, while pharma, metals and energy are trading in the red. The Nifty Midcap index has also erased all of its gains, with the index trading over one-tenth of a percent lower. IT sector is leading the gains as a weak rupee is boosting stocks in this space. Auto indices are also trading in the green.  Among stocks, Jet Airways is down over 2 percent after Moneycontrol reported that MCA is probing the airline on suspicion of siphoning off of funds, while Vadilal Industries is down 7 percent after ace investor Ashish Kacholia offloaded some stake in the firm.

Equities are off to a record high start, following the rally on Monday. There is buying seen among all sectors, with banks being one of the top gainers. This is followed by IT, auto, pharamceuticals and metals, among others. The midcap index is also trading in the green. 

The Sensex is up 77.31 points or 0.20% at 38356.06, while the Nifty is up 26.70 points or 0.23% at 11578.50.  The market breadth is positive as 405 shares advanced, against a decline of 140 shares , while 51 shares are unchanged. 

Among stocks, ONGC, Vedanta, HCL Tech and Tech Mahindra are the top gainers, while Airtel, Power Grid, and ICICI Bank are the top losers.

Today's Stock Market Trading Tips-Sensex extends gains after hitting record high, Nifty above 11,100; ACC soars 13%

Pre-opening rates indicate a strong start to the market, with the Nifty hitting 11,100. 

At 09:01 hrs IST, the Sensex is up 224.91 points or 0.61% at 36943.51, and the Nifty up 36.80 points or 0.33% at 11121.60.

The market on Monday had closed on a higher note, with the 50-share index ending above 11,080 as well. 

Equity benchmarks have looked to continue their momentum from Monday, with the Sensex opening at a record high, while the Nifty has opened above 11,100. 

At 09:15 hrs IST, the Sensex is up 89.00 points or 0.24% at 36807.60, while the Nifty is up 26.10 points or 0.24% at 11110.90. The market breadth is positive as 305 shares have advanced, 116 shares have declined, and 39 shares are unchanged.

All sectoral indices are trading in the green, with maximum gains seen among IT and infrastructure names. Midcaps, meanwhile, have opened higher, with the index rising around 0.20 percent. Shares of ACC are trading higher by 10 percent after the company reported good results for the June quarter.

Stock Market Trading Tips-Nifty consolidates ahead of F&O expiry; weak rupee lifts IT stocks

The market continued to consolidate ahead of the expiry of June futures & options contracts on Thursday.

The 30-share BSE Sensex fell 6.35 points to 35,483.69 and the 50-share NSE Nifty declined 19.90 points to 10,749.30.

The Nifty Midcap index extends losses, falling 0.8 percent on weak market breadth. More than two shares declined for every share rising on the BSE.

Oil retailers IOC, HPCL and BPCL dropped 5 percent each after Brent crude futures traded above $76 a barrel.

ICICI Bank, ITC, L&T, SBI and Axis Bank slipped 1-2 percent while HDFC Bank, TCS, HDFC, HUL and Infosys gained 0.6-1.6 percent.
