Stock Market Tips-Nifty around 11,950, Sensex gains 100 points; Indiabulls Housing up 4%

Indian indices are trading higher after a flat start in the morning trade with Nifty around 11,950.

The Sensex is up 114.10 points or 0.29% at 39953.35, and the Nifty up 37.60 points or 0.32% at 11954.40. About 1003 shares have advanced, 559 shares declined, and 79 shares are unchanged. 

It is a flat start for the Indian indices on July 4 ahead of Union Budget scheduled on July 5.

At 09:17 hrs IST, the Sensex is up 66.64 points at 39905.89, while Nifty is up 22.50 points at 11939.30. About 440 shares have advanced, 245 shares declined, and 29 shares are unchanged. 

Infosys, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Allahabad Bank, ONGC, Indiabulls Housing, UPL, Eicher Motors, Yes Bank, Axis Bank, Dr Reddy's Lab, Tata Motors and Hero Motocorp are among major gainers on the indices, while losers are Tata Steel, JSW Steel, Hindalco, Titan and Wipro.

Among the sectors, PSU bank led the gainers followed by IT, pharma and auto, while selling seen in the metal index.

जेएसडब्ल्यू स्टील

गोल्डमैन सैक्स ने जेएसडब्ल्यू स्टील पर खरीदारी की डाउनग्रेड करते हुए न्यूट्रल रेटिंग दी है और लक्ष्य को 327 रुपये से घटाकर 296 रुपये तय किया है।

Sensex trades higher, Nifty around 10,900; Jet Airways slips 5%

Equity benchmarks have started the day on a positive note, with the Nifty is trading above 10,900 level.

The Sensex is up 137.17 points at 36458.46, while Nifty is up 36.40 points at 10926.70. About 472 shares have advanced, 170 shares declined, and 46 shares are unchanged. 

All other sectoral indices are trading in the green, while Midcap index is up 0.35 percent. 

Zee Entertainment, Bharti Airtel, Indiabulls Housing, HDFC, Axis Bank, Bajaj Finance are trading higher, while HCL Tech, Bajaj Auto, Jet Airways, Mindtree, Infosys, BPCL have lost the most. 

Shares of Reliance Industries and Hindustan Unilever are trading higher ahead of third quarter numbers.

1.                   Fortis Healthcare stock in focus today as SEBI orders Singh brothers and other eight group companies to repay Rs 403 crore to company itself.

2.                   Bandhan Bank clarified that the bank was unaware of the news that it is in talks with HDFC for control of Gruh Finance. The bank also stated that it is evaluating various opportunities and will not comment on market speculation.

3.                   IndiGo signed codeshare mutual agreement with Turkish Airlines. The aviation company said this agreement is a part of its international expansion strategy.

4.                   Sundaram Finance stock in focus today. According to media reports, Competition Commission of India approves acquisition of 40% stake of Royal Sundaram General Insurance Company to Ageas Insurance International N.V.

5.                   Himachal Futuristic Communications has received two contracts totalling Rs148cr from L&T to execute the telecommunication systems projects for the Mauritius Metro Express Project and for the Dhaka Metro Mass Rapid Transit System.

6.                   EPC Industrie board approved change in the name of the company from EPC Industrié Limited to Mahindra EPC Irrigation Limited.

7.                   Power Grid acquired Jawaharpur Firozabad Transmission Limited (JFTL), the project SPV to establish transmission system for evacuation of power from 2 x 660 MW Jawaharpur Thermal Power Project and construction of 400 kV substation at Firozabad along with associated Transmission Lines, on build, own, operate and maintain (BOOM) basis from REC Transmission Projects Company Limited.
