Stock Market Trading Tips-Indices trade higher, Nifty around 10,900; Indiabulls Housing, DHFL most active
MARKET UPDATE Shares are off their high points, with the Nifty giving up 10,900.
The Sensex is up 57.16 points or 0.16% at 36133.88, and the Nifty up 22.80 points or 0.21% at 10882.70. The market breadth is positive as 944 shares advanced, against a decline of 408 shares, while 60 shares were unchanged.
MARKET OPENS Equities have begun the week on a good note, with the Nifty surging to 10,900-mark.
The Bank Nifty, too, has seen a positive opening, up around half percent in early morning trade.
The Sensex is up 165.73 points or 0.46% at 36242.45, while the Nifty is higher by 52.60 points or 0.48% at 10912.50. The market breadth is positive as 407 shares advanced, against a decline of 107 shares, while 25 shares were unchanged.

Shares of NDTV was locked in the
upper circuit of 10% at Rs 39.25 on the BSE, with only buyers being seen on the
counter, after the company and Taboola, the world’s largest content discovery/
platform, signed a five-year exclusive deal worth more than Rs 3 billion.

Shares of information technology
(IT) companies were under pressure on Friday with the Nifty IT index falling
over 1 per cent and extending its decline into the fourth straight day, after
the US indices extended falls as sentiment remained fragile. Tata Consultancy
Services (TCS), Infosys, Wipro, NIIT Technologies, Larsen & Toubro
Infotech, KPIT Technologies, Tata Elxsi and Sonata Software were down between
1% to 2% on the National Stock Exchange (NSE).

Shares of public sector undertaking
(PSU) banks gained up to 4% on the BSE on Friday in otherwise subdued market in
intra-day trade, after Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Thursday said that
government will infuse Rs 830 billion in public sector banks in the remaining
months of the current fiscal (2018-19). Central Bank of India, United Bank of
India, Punjab National Bank (PNB), Syndicate Bank, Allahabad Bank, Indian
Overseas Bank, Union Bank of India, Dena Bank, Oriental Bank of Commerce,
Corporation Bank, Bank of Baroda, Canara Bank and Andhra Bank were up in the
range of 1% to 4%.

Shares of Bata India hit a new
high of Rs 1,135, up 3% on the BSE in intra-day trade on Friday in otherwise
weak market, surpassing its previous high of Rs 1,128 recorded on Wednesday.
Thus far in calendar year 2018, the stock of footwear outperformed the market
by surging 52% from Rs 747 level, as compared to 5% rise in the S&P BSE
Sensex.

State-owned Oriental Bank of
Commerce will issue up to 5 crore new equity shares to its employees under the employee
stock purchase scheme (ESPS). The bank received the approval of shareholders at
its extra-ordinary general meeting held on December 21, it said in a regulatory
filing. The remote e-voting held for the resolution approved with majority
"to create, offer and issue up to 5 crore new equity shares. under
employee stock purchase scheme (OBC-ESPS) in one or more tranches

Stock Market Tips-Financials' rally boosts Sensex by over 300 points; Nifty eyes 10,900
Market opens The Nifty has begun January series above 10,800, while the Sensex is higher by over 150 points.
All sectoral indices, barring metals, are trading in the green, with maximum gains visible among banks, pharmaceuticals and automobiles. The Nifty Midcap index is up half a percent.
The Sensex is up 163.11 points or 0.46% at 35970.39, while the Nifty is higher by 46.90 points or 0.44% at 10826.70. The market breadth is positive as 318 shares advanced, against a decline of 107 shares, while 23 shares were unchanged.
Asian Paints, Vedanta, Titan and Yes Bank gained the most, while Coal India, ONGC and BPCL lost the most.

Market Update
Benchmark indices continued to trade higher in morning, tracking year-end rally in global peers. The 30-share BSE Sensex gained 261.69 points at 35,911.63 and the Nifty50 climbed 70.50 points to 10,800.40.
More than two shares advanced for every share falling on the BSE.
Reliance Industries, Infosys, TCS, ITC, IndusInd Bank, ICICI Bank and HUL were leading contributors to Nifty's gains.
Market opens It is a solid start for equities on Thursday morning, tracking global cues. The Nifty hit 10,800, while the Sensex has also risen around 300 points.
Among sectors, all of them are in the green, with maximum gains visible among banks, consumption, IT, and metals, among others.
