Stock Market Tips-Sensex gains 100 pts, Nifty inches towards 11,700; HDFC AMC hits record high

Indian markets are expected to open weak on the back of renewed concerns over US-Sino trade tensions. Going ahead, market participants are expected to keenly watch Q1 earnings traction and global news flows, ICICI Direct said.

Domestic markets ended positive on July 16 ahead of key Q1 corporate earnings. US markets ended marginally lower following renewed uncertainty over US-China trade talks.
Technically, the brokerage said upsides look limited as on weekly expiry maximum Call OI at 11700 strike that may act as hurdle on upsides.The highest Put base is at 11,300 strike with almost 23 lakh shares while the highest Call base is at the 12,000 strike with 32 lakh shares.

Stock Market Tips-Sensex, midcaps under pressure; autos, metals, PSU banks decline

Benchmark indices opened lower on May 29 with Nifty around 11,900 level.

At 09:17 hrs IST, the Sensex is down 47.14 points at 39702.59, while Nifty is down 11.50 points at 11917.30. About 418 shares have advanced, 418 shares declined, and 29 shares are unchanged. 
Zee Entertainment, Vedanta, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, SBI and UltraTech Cement are among major losers on the Indices in the opening trade, while gainers are HDFC, TCS, Gail, Eicher Motors, HDFC Bank and L&T.
Among the sectors, except IT and Pharma all other indices are trading lower.

Stock Market Live-Indices off day's high, Nifty trades flat; Power Grid Corp falls 3%

It is a firm start for the Indian indices on Thursday morning with Nifty around 11,370 level.

The Sensex is up 131.80 points at 37883.97, while Nifty is up 32.80 points or 0.29% at 11374.50. About 566 shares have advanced, 268 shares declined, and 56 shares are unchanged. 
DHFL gained 5 percent, followed by Lemon Tree, Lupin, Zee Ent, Indianbulls Housing, HCL Tech, Axis Bank, Yes Bank, Infosys are among the major gainers on the indices, while losers include Power Grid, BPCL, Tata Motors, Adani Ports and HPCL.
Among the sectors, FMCG, infra and energy are trading marginally lower, while IT, metal, pharma, and auto witnessing buying interest.

Sensex continues to trade flat, Nifty above 10,900; metal stocks gain

Market Update Equities have continued to remain flat, with the Nifty hovering above 10,900.
The Sensex is down 1.16 points or 0.00% at 36443.48, and the Nifty up 7.00 points or 0.06% at 10929.80. About 826 shares have advanced, 539 shares declined, and 82 shares are unchanged.

Market opens It is a flat start for the market on Wednesday morning, with the Nifty holding 10,900.
All sectoral indices are giving mixed trends, with gains visible among consumption and pharmaceuticals, while automobiles are showing minor signs of pressure. 
The Sensex is up 23.88 points or 0.07% at 36468.52, and the Nifty up 2.10 points or 0.02% at 10924.90. The market breadth is positive as 273 shares advanced, against a decline of 114 shares, while 36 shares were unchanged.

1.     Shares of NDTV was locked in the upper circuit of 10% at Rs 39.25 on the BSE, with only buyers being seen on the counter, after the company and Taboola, the world’s largest content discovery/ platform, signed a five-year exclusive deal worth more than Rs 3 billion. 


2.     Shares of information technology (IT) companies were under pressure on Friday with the Nifty IT index falling over 1 per cent and extending its decline into the fourth straight day, after the US indices extended falls as sentiment remained fragile. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Infosys, Wipro, NIIT Technologies, Larsen & Toubro Infotech, KPIT Technologies, Tata Elxsi and Sonata Software were down between 1% to 2% on the National Stock Exchange (NSE).
3.     Shares of public sector undertaking (PSU) banks gained up to 4% on the BSE on Friday in otherwise subdued market in intra-day trade, after Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Thursday said that government will infuse Rs 830 billion in public sector banks in the remaining months of the current fiscal (2018-19). Central Bank of India, United Bank of India, Punjab National Bank (PNB), Syndicate Bank, Allahabad Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Union Bank of India, Dena Bank, Oriental Bank of Commerce, Corporation Bank, Bank of Baroda, Canara Bank and Andhra Bank were up in the range of 1% to 4%.
4.     Shares of Bata India hit a new high of Rs 1,135, up 3% on the BSE in intra-day trade on Friday in otherwise weak market, surpassing its previous high of Rs 1,128 recorded on Wednesday. Thus far in calendar year 2018, the stock of footwear outperformed the market by surging 52% from Rs 747 level, as compared to 5% rise in the S&P BSE Sensex.
5.     State-owned Oriental Bank of Commerce will issue up to 5 crore new equity shares to its employees under the employee stock purchase scheme (ESPS). The bank received the approval of shareholders at its extra-ordinary general meeting held on December 21, it said in a regulatory filing. The remote e-voting held for the resolution approved with majority "to create, offer and issue up to 5 crore new equity shares. under employee stock purchase scheme (OBC-ESPS) in one or more tranches

1.                   Shares of Adani Enterprises have moved higher by 8% to Rs 170 on BSE on back of heavy volumes after the company said it will fund the entire cost of its controversial Queensland coal mine and rail project in Australia. “Adani Mining's Carmichael mine and rail project will be 100% financed through the Adani Group's resources, Adani Mining CEO Lucas Dow announced in Central Queensland today,” Adani Enterprises said in a press release


2.                   After plunging to a fresh 32-month low of Rs 147 apiece on BSE, the stock of YES Bank staged a recovery towards the end of the trading session on Thursday to settle at Rs 160.45, down 0.77 per cent. During the day, shares of the private sector lender continued to remain under pressure on the BSE in an otherwise firm market, after rating agencies downgraded the bank’s rating.
3.                   Shares of fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) major Hindustan Unilever (HUL) were up 2% at Rs 1,777 per share, rising 14% in the past one month, on expectations of better volume growth/margin delivery against its peers. The stock was trading near its record high level of Rs 1,808 touched on August 20, 2018, on the BSE in intra-day trade.
4.                   Shares of hotel companies Hotel Leela, Kamat Hotels, Sayaji Hotels, TajGVK and Oriental Hotels rallied up to 20 per cent on BSE in the intra-day trade on Thursday, on expectations of robust growth in the coming years.

This decision will now allow Dr. Reddy's to sell its generic version of Suboxone® (buprenorphine and naloxone) sublingual film. As a result of this ruling, Dr. Reddy's will resume its launch activities as soon as permitted.
