Stock Market Tips-Indices extend losses as Nifty below 11,850, Sensex falls over 150 pts; Jet Airways down 15%

Benchmark indices extended the morning losses with Nifty slipped below 11,850 mark.

At 10:03 hrs IST, the Sensex is down 193.99 points or 0.49% at 39562.82, and the Nifty down 59.70 points or 0.50% at 11846.50. About 526 shares have advanced, 1091 shares declined, and 65 shares are unchanged.

Indian indices opened on negative note on June 13 with Nifty below 11,900 level.

The Sensex is down 130.34 points at 39,626.47, while Nifty is down 39.70 points at 11,866.50. About 224 shares have advanced, 385 shares declined, and 34 shares are unchanged. 

DHFL, Jet Airways, Indiabulls Housing, Infosys, HCL Tech, Yes Bank, Zee Entertainment, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Tata Motors, ONGC, Grasim, Hero Motocorp, Britannia and HUL are among major losers on the indices, while gainers are BPCL, IOC, HPCL, Asian Paints, Berger Paints and Kansai Nerolac.

All the sectoral indices are trading lower led by IT, metal, infra, FMCG, bank and auto.

Stock Market Trading Tips-Sensex trades flat after subdued opening, Nifty around 11,400; Mphasis down 3%

After opening in the green, equity benchmarks are currently off the day’s high points are trading flat. The Nifty is struggling around 11,400-mark. Selling is visible in pharmaceutical names, while metals continue to be the top gainer among sectoral indices.

 The midcap index, too, is trading flat right now. Among stocks, shares of Mphasis have fallen over 3 percent even as it reported 38 percent growth in net profit and announced a buyback. Asian Paints, ONGC, Zee Entertainment and Hindalco were the top gainers, while ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, HPCL and BPCL have lost the most. 

The Sensex is up 1.28 points or 0.00% at 37667.08, while the Nifty is down 1.20 points or 0.01% at 11388.30. The market breadth was narrow as 921 shares advanced, against a decline of 784 shares, while 88 shares are unchanged.

Today's Stock Market Trading Tips-Sensex extends gains after hitting record high, Nifty above 11,100; ACC soars 13%

Pre-opening rates indicate a strong start to the market, with the Nifty hitting 11,100. 

At 09:01 hrs IST, the Sensex is up 224.91 points or 0.61% at 36943.51, and the Nifty up 36.80 points or 0.33% at 11121.60.

The market on Monday had closed on a higher note, with the 50-share index ending above 11,080 as well. 

Equity benchmarks have looked to continue their momentum from Monday, with the Sensex opening at a record high, while the Nifty has opened above 11,100. 

At 09:15 hrs IST, the Sensex is up 89.00 points or 0.24% at 36807.60, while the Nifty is up 26.10 points or 0.24% at 11110.90. The market breadth is positive as 305 shares have advanced, 116 shares have declined, and 39 shares are unchanged.

All sectoral indices are trading in the green, with maximum gains seen among IT and infrastructure names. Midcaps, meanwhile, have opened higher, with the index rising around 0.20 percent. Shares of ACC are trading higher by 10 percent after the company reported good results for the June quarter.

सरकार ने टेक्स्टाइल सेक्टर को बड़ी राहत दी है। 45 टेक्स्टाइल प्रोडक्ट्स पर 20 फीसदी की इंपोर्ट ड्यूटी लगाई गई है। वित्त मंत्रालय ने नोटिफिकेशन जारी किया है। कोट, पैंट, जैकेट और लेडीज गारमेंट पर 20 फीसदी इंपोर्ट ड्यूटी लगाई गई है। सिंथेटिक फिलामेंट यार्न से बने कपड़े पर 20 फीसदी या 38 रुपये प्रति मीटर ड्यूटी लगाई गई है। जूट या पेपर यार्न से बने कपड़े पर भी 20 फीसदी इंपोर्ट ड्यूटी लगाई गई है।

वहीं कारपेट की कमोबेश सभी वेरायटी पर 20 फीसदी की इंपोर्ट ड्यूटी लगाई गई है। कारपेट के जिन आइटम पर पहले 10 फीसदी ड्यूटी थी उसे बढ़ाकर 20 फीसदी किया गया है। रस्सी, लैमिनेटेड फाइबर और धागे से बनने वाली शीट पर 20 फीसदी ड्यूटी लगाई गई है। दरअसल सस्ते इंपोर्ट से होने वाले नुकसान से घरेलू इंडस्ट्री को बचाने के लिए इंपोर्ट ड्यूटी लगाई गई है।

1.                   Tata Motors Limited (TML) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the State Government of Maharashtra for deployment of 1,000 Electric Vehicles (EV) across its range of passenger and commercial vehicles in the State.

2.                   HDFC Bank gained almost four percent during the morning trade as investors made big bets ahead of the FII buying window being opened on June 1. The SEBI decided to open the window for institutional trading series (6 lakh series) just for a day on June 1, 2018. In fact, the regulator has decided to scrap the mechanism from July 1 onwards. This has led to an increase in demand for the stock.

3.                   Tata Consultancy Services share price fell nearly 2 percent after the stock adjusted for bonus share issue. The board of directors of the company, on April 19, had recommended bonus issue of equity shares in the ratio of one equity share of Re 1 each for every one equity share of Re 1 each held by the shareholders of the company as on the record date. TCS has fixed record date as June 2 for determining the entitlement of members to receive bonus shares.

4.                   Bank of Baroda looks to sell NPAs worth Rs2,954.28cr and has invited expression of interest by June 15.

5.                   Manpasand Beverages hit 20% lower circuit limit for the second straight day on account of the resignation of its auditing firm with effect from May 26, 2018.

6.                   Vedanta ordered by Tamil Nadu government to seal and permanently close the copper smelter plant at Tuticorin.

7.                   Dalmia Bharat Sugar to sell its wholly-owned subsidiaries' Dalmia Solar Power and Dalmia Sugar Ventures to the promoters.
