1.     ICICI Bank mulls exercising oversubscription option to sell additional 1.43cr shares in ICICI Prudential Life.

2.     TCS hit a new high of Rs 1,849 per share on the BSE during the day, after the IT major said that its board has approved a proposal of buyback upto 76.19 million equity shares at price of Rs 2,100 per share through tender offer.

4.     Shares of Dr Reddy’s Laboratories were up 3% at Rs 2,346 per share on the BSE after the company announced today that it has received final approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) for the launch of Buprenorphine and Naloxone sublingual film in the US market.

5.     The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is planning to provide relief to foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) on some of the new norms proposed in its April 27 circular. As per the new norms, an FPI cannot invest more than 20 per cent of its portfolio in papers that have maturity below one year.

बाजार की आगे की चाल और दिशा पर बात करते हुए मार्केट एक्सपर्ट ने कहा कि ऑटो कंपनियों के नंबर बहुत अच्छे रहे हैं और ये अगले 6 महीने अच्छे रहेंगे क्योंकि इकोनॉमी में मजबूती आती दिख रही है जिसका फायदा ऑटो सेक्टर को मिलेगा। सीमेंट और ऑटो सेक्टर के कारोबार में बढ़ोत्तरी इकोनॉमी में सुधार के बहुत अच्छे संकेत हैं। अगली तिमाही में जीडीपी 8 फीसदी का स्तर छू सकता है।

आईटी और फार्मा सेक्टर पर बात करते हुए अजय बग्गा ने कहा कि आईटी शेयर में इस समय निवेश के मौके हैं लेकिन कर्ज में फंसी फार्मा कंपनियों से दूर रहें। फार्मा में उन्ही कंपनियों में निवेश करें जिनमें कर्ज की दिक्कत नहीं है। आगे क्वालिटी फार्मा शेयर अच्छे रिटर्न दे सकते हैं। अजय बग्गा की सलाह है कि फार्मा कंपनियों पर नजर रखें इनमें किसी गिरावट में नीचे की तरफ निवेश के मौके मिल सकते हैं।

आईसीआईसीआई बैंक पर बात करते हुए अजय बग्गा ने कहा कि आईसीआईसीआई बैंक को बोर्ड को पहले शेयरधारकों को बचाना था। जांच से पहले ही चंदा कोचर को पद से हट जाना चाहिए था।

2.                   Shares of the RCOM fell 5% in the afternoon trade. The Supreme Court has ordered Reliance Communications to pay spectrum dues of Rs774cr to the telecom department by May 2 after the company moved the top court seeking more time to clear dues.

3.                   Indiabulls Real Estate gains after it reported a nearly 21-fold jump in consolidated net profit for the quarter ended March. Its net profit stood for the quarter at Rs 1,648.3 crore, as against Rs 79.8 crore in the year-ago period.

4.                   DHFL board meeting on April 30 to consider fundraising by way of further public issue of secured non-convertible debentures.

5.                   Fortis says Manipal-TPG sought to impose onerous conditions on the company that would cap ability for the competitive bid process.

Stock Market Trading Tips-Tata Steel pips JSW Steel in race for Bhushan Steel with Rs 35,000 cr bid

Tata Steel has emerged as the highest bidder for Bhushan Steel with a surprise bid of Rs 35,000 crore. JSW Steel, which was the favourite till the end of the race, was second placed with a bid of Rs 29,700 crore.

A senior bank executive aware of the development confirmed the allotment to Tata Steel and the bid amount.

Bhushan Steel is one of the 12 large corporate accounts identified by the Reserve Bank of India that accounted for almost 25 percent of exposure to bad loans for the entire banking sector.

The Neeraj Singal-led company had accumulated debt of over Rs 50,000 crore, of which bank dues amounted to around Rs 44,000 crore.

“We are happy with bid offer and this is a good sign. We have provided over 50 percent. The haircut is about 35 percent,” the banker said.

An announcement may be made later tonight, or tomorrow, another source from the industry added.

The development follows a meeting between the lenders of Bhushan Steel and the resolution professional earlier in the day today. According to reports, the liquidation value of Bhushan Steel stood at Rs 15,000 crore.

Tata Steel and JSW Steel had submitted their bids on February 3. Initially, Tata Steel's bid was said to close to Rs 24,000 crore.

State Bank of India has one of the largest exposures to the debt-laden company at around Rs 6,000 crore, including external commercial borrowings. Other lenders include Canara Bank, Bank of India and Dena Bank.

In a consortium of 51 lenders, PNB is the lead banker for term loans to Bhushan Steel. SBI heads the consortium for working capital loans.

The company tried restructuring its debt under the RBI’s 5/25 refinancing scheme and S4A (Scheme for Sustainable Structuring of Stressed Assets). However, after failure to make any headway, the central bank referred the case to be resolved under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code.

While a source in the industry confirmed the development, officials from Tata Steel were couldn't be reached. Calls to its corporate communication executive went unanswered.
