Stock Market Trading Tips - Sensex, Nifty hit record highs at open: Yes Bank down 10%, USL up 9%

The market started off November series on a positive note as equity benchmarks hit fresh record highs but Nifty Bank fell over half a percent due to weak earnings from Yes Bank.

The 30-share BSE Sensex was up 83.71 points at 33,230.84 and the 50-share NSE Nifty rose 15.10 points or to 10,358.90.

Yes Bank plunged 10 percent post earnings while ICICI Bank was down 2.5 percent ahead of earnings later today.

ITC, Maruti and IOC gained ahead of earnings.

Cipla, BPCL, Sun Pharma, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Bajaj Finance, L&T, Bajaj Auto, Aurobindo, Infosys and Tata Motors gained 1-2 percent.

Nifty Midcap index was up 0.3 percent and Smallcap gained 0.6 percent as about 897 shares advanced against 337 declining shares on the NSE.

Union Bank, Syndicate Bank, Allahabad Bank and DHFL were down a percent each.

Can Fin Homes, LIC Housing Finance, Mastek, Jubilant Foodworks and Polaris Consulting rallied 1-8 percent.

After earnings, Biocon fell 5.5 percent while United Spirits was up 8.5 percent and Crompton Consumer rallied 5 percent.

Nifty flat ahead of F&O expiry; Bank index turns positive, Midcap at new high

Equity benchmarks continued to trade mildly lower amid volatility ahead of expiry of October derivative contracts later today.

The 30-share BSE Sensex was down 51.75 points at 32,990.75 and the 50-share NSE Nifty fell 9 points to 10286.40.

The market breadth was balanced as about 911 shares declined against 891 advancing shares on the BSE.

Public sector banks rallied further as the Nifty PSU Bank index gained nearly 3 percent on top of 30 percent rally seen in previous session after Rs 2.11 lakh crore recapitalisation plan that will be spread over two fiscal years.

Oil marketing companies were on buyers' radar today as IOC, HPCL and BPCL rallied 2.5-4 percent.

आज से खुला रिलायंस निप्पॉन एएमसी का आईपीओ

रिलायंस निप्पॉन एएमसी का आईपीओ आज से 27 अक्टूबर तक के लिए खुल गया है। इस आईपीओ का प्राइस बैंड 247-252 रुपये तय किया गया है। आईपीओ के जरिए कंपनी 2000 करोड़ रुपये जुटाएगी। अनिल अंबानी ग्रुप कंपनी रिलायंस कैपिटल और जापान की निप्पॉन लाइफ की साझा कंपनी रिलायंस निप्पॉन एएमसी आईपीओ लाने वाली पहली एसेट मैनेजमेंट कंपनी है। इस आईपीओ में 2.45 करोड़ नए शेयर जारी किए जाएंगे। जबकि रिलायंस कैपिटल 1.12 करोड़ और निप्पॉन लाइफ 2.55 करोड़ शेयर बेचेंगी।

रिलायंस निप्पॉन एएमसी ने आईपीओ से जुटाई रकम कंपनी के ग्रोथ में खर्च करने का इरादा जताया है। कंपनी का कहना है कि वो दूसरी एसेट मैनेजमेंट कंपनियों को खरीदने के मौके भी तलाश रही है। रिलायंस निप्पॉन एएमसी के सीईओ संदीप सिक्का सीएनबीसी-आवाज़ से हुई खास बात-चीत में कहा कि म्युचुअल फंड इंडस्ट्री में ग्रोथ की बड़ी संभावनाएं हैं। अभी सिर्फ 3 फीसदी लोग ही एमएफ में पैसे लगा रहे हैं।
